President's Message
Hello fellow Rehabilitation Professionals, first of all I would like to thank Laurie Yager for her tireless effort as President during 2003. She has represented our organization for many years serving on the Board in various capacities. We are fortunate to have her still serve as Past President this year and share her expertise with us. I want to welcome our new Board Members:
Katrina Ungos has been chosen as President Elect and will serve as President for 2005. Our other 2004 Board Members are:
Dee Ferguson, Treasurer; Sandie Ross, Secretary;Amanda Spivey, Membership Chair; Constance Jones, Legilative Chair and also the President of the CSUSB Student Chapter. Lino Cortez, Mario Linares, and Don Gillespie as Members at Large. Margie Cooper has agreed to help with the Newsletter until we can fill the Editor position.
My goals for this year are to increase Counselor awareness of the benefits for joining NRA/CRA-South and becoming active in your organizations. There are many opportunities for Counselors to increase their skills, knowledge, expertise and grow professionally through educational seminars, conferences, workshops and networking. I hope to increase local membership and form a stronger alliance with CRA-North and other professional counseling organizations to help Licensure become a reality in California. We need your participation to make this a great organization. Please join and become involved.
